Channeling influences from iconic acts such as The Isley Brothers, Earth Wind and Fire, Prince, and Mint Condition, Groove Stu brings back the art of real vocals and live instrumentation. They are composed of talented and experienced writers, producers, and performers.
Since their inception in 1999, Groove Stu has been gracing stages across the globe with their electrifying performances and infectious energy. In 2003, they made their mark with the release of their debut album, “Authentic 4.10 Sessions”, independently garnering critical acclaim. Not content to be confined to a single genre, Groove Stu showcased their versatility by crafting an album that seamlessly blended elements of hip hop, soul, jazz, and reggae, earning them praise for their boundary-pushing creativity.
Groove Stu has shared stages with legendary acts such as Frankie Beverly and Maze, Boyz II Men, Erykah Badu, Mint Condition, Eric Roberson, Raheem DeVaughn, and Kindred the Family Soul, solidifying their reputation as a dynamic live act. In 2006, they released a concert DVD, “Live and Direct From Baltimore”, which captured the essence of their electrifying live performances.
After a brief hiatus from performing, Groove Stu returned to the spotlight in 2012 with the release of their album “Artofficial Substance”, showcasing a matured sound and a deeper exploration of their musical identity. Now, as they gear up for the highly anticipated release of their as-yet-untitled new album in Fall 2024, Groove Stu is poised to make their most powerful statement yet.
